Hello, and welcome to my blog! Allow me to introduce myself...
My name is Lindsay, and I'm a Certified Holistic Health Coach. I received my health coach training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I also have an MA in Counseling Psychology, and a BA from Lewis & Clark College. Drawing from my years of training and personal experiences, we will work together to create a completely customized and do-able plan just for you, so that you, too, can discover your best self.
A little more about my background...I spent my childhood in an active, healthy household, but away at college I over-indulged in the all-you-can-eat dining hall and lack of exercise routine. I forgot about my healthy upbringing. After graduation, I worked at a desk job. It was a great company, and I worked with great people, but the hours sitting at a desk combined with very little physical exercise led to even more of an unbalanced and unhealthy lifestyle. I felt drained and lethargic, spending most of my free time doing things that weren't good for my mind or my body.
The unhealthy foods and caffeine took their toll in extra weight and stress. I didn’t have much energy, and I let my healthy free-time activities slide. That was when I realized it was time for a change! I left my job, changed my career and experimented with new eating habits to find what worked for me. These changes took commitment, but the result was that I finally felt balanced and full of energy, ready to take on life in a whole new way! I am passionate about helping people to make healthy changes, as I want everyone to feel great in their own body!
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and work with clients from all over, as most sessions will take pliace either via Skype or phone.
